Introduction
The first of the Saudi/WWE partnerships, the “Greatest Royal Rumble” took place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia a few weeks after Wrestlemania. Ultimately a pretty controversial event, the winner – Braun Strowman last eliminated Big Cass to win the event.
With 50 competitors, individuals struggled to stand out, with a number of competitors lasting very short lengths. One who did was Daniel Bryan, who returned to in ring action at the 2018 Wrestlemania by setting a record for the longest time in any Royal Rumble. Strowman also set a record for most eliminations in a match, but was joined by Brock Lesnar soon after with 13.
Being a showcase event, Braun Strowman got a belt, a trophy, and nothing else.

- This match is the only Royal Rumble with Male Representatives of 205 Live, with Tony Nese & Drew Gulak competing. Maria Kanellis competed in the 2019 Women’s Royal Rumble.
