Introduction
Another unpopular Royal Rumble, the 2015 Royal Rumble saw strange booking decisions, not least the quick elimination of one of the odds on favourite Daniel Bryan. Towards the end of the match, the old and stale Kane and Big Show eliminated a number of popular stars such as Dean Ambrose & Dolph Ziggler, only to be eliminated by the chosen hero Roman Reigns.
Although popular towards the end of last year’s match Roman Reigns – became the villain as he won in a march to Wrestlemania. Not even an appearance of his cousin The Rock post match could satisfy the crowd. In the end however, Seth Rollins became world champion at Wrestlemania 31 – in what was called the heist of the century.
Away from that, surprises were from Diamond Dallas Page & Bubba Ray Dudley, and Bray Wyatt was the standout performer, with most eliminations and he had the iron man performance of the match.
