The 2025 Royal Rumble will take place this Saturday 1st February from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. This is the first Royal Rumble to take place from the venue. On the card there will be two Royal Rumble matches, a men’s and a women’s Royal Rumble. This guide will preview the women’s match.
Probably the most interesting name is Bianca Belair. If she lasts more than 5 minutes in the Royal Rumble, she will more than likely enter the top 10 Royal Rumble entrants in terms of cumulative time. Given her relative age, there is every chance she will become the longest competitor in Royal Rumble history within the next 5 or so years. Naomi or Charlotte Flair will need to go an hour to overtake her.
One elimination from Nia Jax will see her take the top spot in most eliminations in the Women’s Royal Rumble. Flair, Bayley and Belair could overtake her, but will need to do well. Jax is also one of the most efficient eliminators, over an average 1 minute ahead of third place Sonya Deville. Albeit there’s no real chance that Chyna’s record is overtaken.
Sadly, given the dominance by a number of women, there isn’t a huge amount of things to spot in terms of names. Iyo Sky with a strong showing of 3 or more elimiations could see her advance up the most threatening competitors in the Royal Rumble. Also, Liv Morgan – who has been second in the past two Royal Rumbles – could see that streak broken this year. She could become the first competitor to be second three times in a row. We’ll see.
But things could emerge over the Royal Rumble. We’ll see this coming Saturday!
